Ciao and welcome to my official website. Let me give you a brief background about myself.
How did I get here? Quite simply, by following my passions throughout my life, be it travel, history, culture, writing, photography, music and more, and sharing them with other people, trying to create moments of joy and fun. They have been the essential ingredients in my professional career spanning more than 30 years in the media (radio, magazine, web) and tourism industry (tour guide and tour leader). |

As a freelance licensed tour guide I love hosting people on daily Food and Wine tours visiting the makers of the gourmet masterpieces of my region, Emilia-Romagna, in Northern Italy. Been born, raised and lived in the same area all my life, I'm trying to be an ambassador of the people who make this place so great for foodies, with a personal touch, based on my background in history.
It's in the hearth of Emilia, the western part of the region, better known as the Food Valley, that lies Parma, city UNESCO for Gastronomy, undoubtedly the food capital of Italy. A real playground for food lovers. Nowhere else you can find some of the most recognisable Italian food products in the world, like Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, Prosciutto di Parma ham, Balsamic vinegar of Modena and the highly regarded Traditional balsamic.

And don't forget that Emilia is the Motor Valley too, home to legendary brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Pagani and Ducati. The national love for beauty, design and quality craftsmanship goes hand in hand with the passion by locals for sport cars, motorbikes and races. First and foremost we are "tifosi", fans of Scuderia Ferrari and Ducati Corse racing teams, both proudly using the historic Italian red motorsport color.

TOUR LEADER
A strong desire to travel and discovering the world on a motorcycle is a teenage dream turned into reality for me and many fellow adventure seekers. The unique sense of freedom and the intense emotions you feel while riding on scenic roads, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, are what led me into a job as a travel journalist and tour leader, a professional license that allows me to work on a different set of skills in Italy and abroad.
I put to use my experience in designing itineraries and routes, writing guide books, managing and leading adventure trips all over the world for people who are, like me, motorbike travel enthusiasts. That's how I started in tourism in the early 90s, pioneering new destinations with the same Italian tour operator company I'm working with today and I'm still loving the job. |
